Educational Innovation

Coordinator of the Group: Educational Innovation in Chemical Engineering (EIChE)

This an educational innovation group of the Technical University of Madrid. Their members belong to the Chemical Engineering Department.

Our group has received the Universidad Politecnica Award to Educational Innovation Groups in 2021.

The main aim of EIChE is to promote an active and integral learning. It is focused on learning more than teaching, on doing more than listening and it tries to encompass not only specific matters but also transversal ones (such as team working, oral presentations, etc.).

Currently we are working in several initiatives such as developing:

  • Remote Laboratory
  • E-learning and cooperative activities
  • Flipped classroom

These are some of the Educational Innovation projects in which I have been involved lately in:

  • Evaluation of ChatGPT as a Support Tool in Chemical Engineering Education (2024)
  • Improvement of Motivation and Learning in Chemical Engineering Students through the Use of Serious Games (2023)
  • Research as a leitmotif for an active, motivational and coordinated learning. (2022)
  • CREATíVATE: Developing creativity in engineering using a educational collaboration network. (2020-2021)
